I'm curious about how we can tune out without losing the ability to resist before it's too late.

For example, how do we avoid becoming like other societies where the majority voted for something that ultimately worked against them—Venezuelans who originally voted for Hugo Chávez, Britons who voted for Brexit, or Germans who voted for Hitler?

Hey James, that's a great question and I would love to explore it more, especially in an online context. Right now I think opposition groups are still organizing themselves and things have happened faster than anyone thought they would. Staying aware of what's going on and calling your government officials might be the right strategy for now, but I worry what happens when they are not effective at fighting this regime.

Love Nourished by Time.

Unrelated, but the Left has been striking this tone since 2016 - and it hasn't worked, it's in fact made Trump win more. Is the answer to double down, even when the results have shown that people aren't interested in this messaging (even when true)? In 2020, letting Trump speak for himself is probably what lost him the election.

I'm a bit skeptical what protests are supposed to do in 2025 vs 2010 - a well-organized, 200,000 person protest (of people who likely voted against this administration anyways) would only get 5 seconds of someone's attention span before moving to the next thing on Instagram or the 24 hour media cycle (which Trump uses to his advantage). I wonder if there are more innovative ways to show dissent (or get people to vote on less extreme positions)
